It was founded June 1 1, 1945, and is an incorporated nonprofit youth organization. It is composed of char¬ tered associations in the States including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. These in turn are made up of local chapters in junior and senior high schools offering home economics. Any pupil who has been enrolled or is enrolled in homemaking may become a member.
