C L A S S H l S T O R Y ln September, l94l, flve small, frlghtened chlldren nervously clutchlng thelr mothers hands entered the flrst grade ln the Splrlt Lake Grade School. They were: Janet Sundblad, Marlan Blood, Bar- bara Bacon, Jack Blood, and Clarence Jobes. These orlglnal flve are the only members of the l953 graduating class who have gone through twelve years of school together. ln the second grade they were jolned by Cllff Smlth from Missoula, Montana. g Not untll the slxth grade were these slx young students jolned by more of the present senlor class, At that time Carolle and Gay Thompson joined the slowly growlng group, ln the eighth grade Joanne Humphrey and Glenn Fowler jolned to form the last of our group ln grade school. ln our green Freshman year we galned flve more of our senlors. Mardlne Langenheder and Alma Klenke came from Atholg and Bob Kraken berg, Janet Lowery, and Judy Haverfleld from Farragut. In our Sophomore year we had flfteen of the present senlorsg then in our Junlor year we lost Janet Lowery who went to Cascade Locks, Oregon and Judy Haverfleld to Nampa, ldahog but we galned Perry Parks from Cheney, Washlngton. ln our Senlor year Janet Lowery and Judy Haverfleld came back to make complete our present sixteen seniors.
