Freshman Class History On September 7th, 12 freshman from Spirit Lake traipsed dutifully up the school steps to begin their first day in High School. They were: James Cunningham, class president, Clifford Kusler, vice president, Beverly Bacon, secretary, Ronnie Hegge, John Sundblad, Leona Sterns, Lee Robins, Patricia Butler, Beverly Welling, Buford Fallis, Wallace Miller, and Con Richards, a new comer to Spirit Lake. There they were met by ten others: Gene and Jo Ann Wallace and Gilbert Brule from Bayview, Marjorie Swainston, Lillian Lemmon and Leah Turpin from Farragut, and Mae Justice from Athol. Also Norman Braden, DidcChristenson and Della Lynn who later left us. Pat Showers and Clara Prince from Farragut joined us. Too late, however, to be at our initation, which took place the first of October and offically made us members of the Spirit Lake High School. Mr. Thompson is our adviser.
