Carnival Royalty

School Carnival The Parent-Teacher Association sponsored a carnival at the school building on November 27, l953. Some of the features of the carnival were as follows: Hawaiian Room, Gay Nineties, Movies, Ring the Duck, Grab Bag, Country Store, Basketball Throw, and the Cake Walk. The carnival was opened by the crowning of the carnival royalty. Wilbur Perry and Vera Oyler, iunior class contestants, were crowned high school king and queen in a colorful ceremony. Their attendants were the following: seniors, Jerry Stottlemyre and Janet Speck, sophomores, Brant Judd and Marian King, freshmen, Bill Leytham and Delores Brown. Richard Wilson and Joanne Hathaway, the 3rd and 4th grades' candidates, were crowned king and queen of the grades. Attendants were as follows: 7th and 8th grades, Dean Keith and Linda Hammons, 5th and 6th grades, Richard Stomper and Bonnie Golden, lst and 2nd grades, Greg Hall and Terry Ogle.
