X Division comprises the Captain's Office, Personnel Office, Legal Office, Post Office, Educational Services Office, Career Counselor, Chaplain's Office and the 3M Office. Provides administrative support as required to ship's company and supported submarines, including maintenance of central correspondence files, enlisted and officer records, issuance of military and dependant identification cards, preparation of wills, powers of attorney, notary services, liaison with civilfmilitary law enforcement agencies, counselling on career benefits and services, religious services and counselling, postal services and administration of the 3M program. The ship's Master-at Arms Force fPolice Forcej is responsible for assisting the Executive Officer in the maintenance of discipline. A second and equally important function is monitoring the shipis safety regulations. The Data Processing Division is organized Within the Administrative Department to support the needs of all SPERRY departments and Submarine Squadron THREE. The division consists of data re- duction, computer programming and computer operations sections working on a 3-shift, 5-day weekly schedule. Major mechanized processing systems utilizing the UNIVAC 1500 computer system include Repair Workload Planning and Control, Current Shipis Maintenance Projects, Supply Inventory and Financial Management and payroll accounting.
