i The conventional Weapons Repair Division fSpecial Weapons, W-lj is the largest of the three Weapons Repair Department Divisions. It is comprised of sixty torpedo technicians with varied backgrounds and training, maintaining torpedoes of Submarine Squadron THREE in a perpetual state of readiness. They are responsible for maintenance, repair, stowage and handling of both warshot and exercise configured weapons. The Fire Control. Shop QW-2 Divisionj is responsible for intermediate level repair, calibration, and maintenance of the fire control systems of submarines assigned to Submarine Squadron THREE. Fire Control Systems normally services the MK 101, MK 106, and MKll3. The W-3 Division, designated SW-ASTORXSUBROC, is the smallest of the three Weapons Repair Department Divisions. It has the capability of maintaining, repairing, storing, and handling the MK 45 Mods 1 and 2 Warshot and exercise configured torpedoes and the MK 23 SUBRGC Missile. 63 WEAPONS DEPARTMENT
