Bumbaugh m. rest and refreshments stop at Indian Lake, Ohio m. park before the Capitol building in Columbus, Ohio, for dinner hour rn. cross river at Zanesville over the oldest Y bridge in America m. cross Ohio River into Wheeling, W. Va. m. overnight stop at Windsor hotel, Wheeling 1 - sky overcast but not raining breakfast, load, and are soon rolling along, for we are now in the foothills of the Allegheny mountains- scenery is superb IH. m. cross state line, now in Pennsylvania m. stop at Fort Necessity - visit the Old Stockade and the museum overlooking this historic battlefield Lunch stop at a new cafe along the highway m. cross into Maryland-off for Cumberland and Hagers- town, old colonial cities m. in Frederick, Md. , the home of Barbara Frietchie-- the flag still waves from that old attic window m. coming into Washington, D. C. , on Wisconsin Avenue rn. unload at Hotel Ebbitt at l0th and H streets m. take long walk to Capitol Building and grounds rn. supper at Union Station, return to hotel - clear, sunny day-perfect for tours with guide--Bureau of Engraving---White House grounds and certain rooms-- Washington Monument---Lincoln Memorial---Arlington National Cemetery there we saw the impressive ceremony of changing guards for the tomb of the Unknown Soldier,---Mount Vernon and the tomb of George Washington---Jefferson Memorial---Capitol Building---Senate Chamber---House of Representatives ---group picture with Capitol for background---trip through the F. B. I. Back to the Ebbitt and get ready for a shopping tour, as the stores are open tonight until 9 o'clock---swimming in the lighted pool at the Ambassador hotel fto be continued on page 45, 22
