The class was well represented in the fields of Junior Band, Jumor I-hgh Chorus, Sports --basketball and football. There were three students in Senior Band Through the help of our sponsors Mrs. Smith and Mr. Martindale, the class found this year to be very enjoyable and would like to thank the teachers for their patience and guidance. 22

Heaton, R. Varno. EIGHTH GRADE The eighth grade consisting of thirty-five girls and thirty-two boys enjoyed several in- teresting excursions. During the early part of December, while studying sewage disposal and water filtration in science, the class visited the Spencerville Sewage Disposal Plant and the Water Works. The County Jail, the WIMA Television Station, and the Lima News were visited on the class trip to Lima. The eighth grade is very grateful to Mr. Boyer, Mrs. Clark, and Miss Strahl for their guidance throughout this year. 21
