EDUCATION in a democracy, both with- in and without the school, should de- velop in each individual the knowledge, interests, ideals, habits, and powers by which he will be able to find his place, to shape both himself and society toward ever nobler ends. In order to accomplish this, careful train- ing of the student throughout his school career is essential. Only through coopera- tion between the student and the faculty can this goal be attained. The administra- tive body is continually striving to fit each graduate for his place in life.
