Senior Officers Mr. Ferris, Miss Kenefick, Branch, Reitz, Mroczek, Adams, Anderson, Morgenberger. CLASS HISTORY CWI-IE class of 1954 began their adventures at Spencerport in September 1950. Our career as a class didn't get started, however, until January when we elected Rena Anderson President, Jack Adams Vice President, Joan Maier Secretary Treasurer, Elinor Hawkins and Phil Hall social chair- men, and upholding the Freshmen rights at the Student Council were Bill Hiscock and Celia Morgen- berger. Our first project as a class was an eighth period dance, The Freshmen Swing. We charged one cent for each size shoe a person wore. Pity the poor Senior boys who wore a size twelve! We won the Competitive Assembly prize for that year with an imaginary trip through the United States. In March, however, our class was greatly saddened by the death of Patty DeFisher, our classmate, who was killed by a fall from a horse. A shadow fell over our class for some time. We shall remem- ber her sweet personality and smile for years to come. Our Sophomore year started off with our class elections. We elected Rena Anderson President and Jack Adams Vice President, for a change. Eugene Lewis was in charge of money and notes. Bev Reitz and Lee Drake were in charge of our social business. Celia Morgenberger and Bill Hiscockhad done such a good job in Council that we sent them back for another term. Next came our dance Win- ter Wonderland. Miss Verbridge and Mr. Farnsworth were our advisors as we sailed toward our Junior year and the prestige of being upperclassmen. ln our Junior year Gene Lewis pounded the gavel at class meetings and Jean Chivers was his assist ant in calling the meetings together. Celia Morgenberger kept the records and Joan Maier kept the money. Jack Adams and Ninalee Haughton were the Social Chairmen, and holding the Junior influence at the Student Council were Barb Willsea, Don Hoag and Bev Reitz. We made a fortune falmostj sell- ing Christmas cards and we also had the thrill of getting our class rings. Our really big project was our Ball, April in Paris. Mr. Jordan and Miss Verbridge were our class advisors. At last we were ready to begin our Big Adventure, our Senior year. As usual the year began with class elections. Jack Adams was elected chief of all operations and Rena Anderson his assistant chief. Celia Morgenberger kept the records again fbecause no one could read her notes from the year beforel and Bob Mroczek, our mental giant, guarded the purse strings. Bev Reitz. and Bob Branch were Social Chairmen. Gene Lewis, Barb Willsea and Millie Rympa were our voice in the Student Council. Our Senior Play, Mr. Coed was a big success financially as well as artistically. We made another fortune, selling stationery this time. Mr. Ferris and Miss Kenefick were our advisors. As we look back on these four years of adventures, we realize how much theyhave meant to us and how we have grown from silly, eager Freshmen to mature, we think, but still eager Seniors. Z8
