BO RD OF EDUCATION ss Hart, Mr Hawkins, Mr Schaffer, Mr Flagg, Mr Kincaid, M Woo The efforts expended by the School Board of Education are often received without full appreciation Their duties are innumerable and include to es tablish rules and regulations concerning the order and discipline of the schoo to prescribe the course of study by which the pupils of the school shall b graded and classified, to prescribe the textbook to be used in the school, purchase sites for recreation grounds and for agricultural sites, to purchase all equlpment necessary to the proper operation of the school, to handle all school insurance, to hire teachers, to handle all bequests or gifts to the sch to borrow money in anticipation of taxes uncollected, to raise by tax upon the property of the district any money required to pay the salary of teachers em ploved, to provide medical inspection of all school children The above list of duties will give you an idea of the work required f each member of the board The advantages offered by Spencerport High School are due, in great part, to the efforts expended by the Board with Ravmond Flagg as President We stu dents of Spencerport High School wish to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation of their work in our behalf. 4 l ool, 5, K an V ' : fs e 1- ff' ' ff 1 . S E NIDR C LASS orncsns Ano ovusons Seated Social Chairman Dorothy Schmldt, Advisor Mr Tucker, Vice Pres 1d9Hf Ellen Witty, President Donald Avery, Advisor-Miss Hoefler Stand ing Social chairman Ronald Smlth, Treasurer Richmond Stettner, Secre tarv Stewart Metcalf CLASS HISTORY Well, here we are, Seniors' Just four short years ago we little gremlins entered through that famous doorway NTeachers guide, Pupils educate themselves We were probably the greenest kids and definitely the lazlest who ever entered, but in a short time we learned to find our wav around f?795 Mr Dubois, M ss Scribner, and Mrs Tolhurst were charged with the cheerful duty of being our ad vigors Ronnie Smith, being the best looking freshman boy, was elected president with Ruth Hanf vice president, Rich Stettner treasurer, and Shirley Williamson social chairman Our first major social event was a going away party for Mr D bois To build up the muscles, we also had a skating party Exams, vacation We become Sophomores Miss Wolak, M Tucker, and Mr St Clair were our class advisors Fred Steele was class president, Rich Stettner vice president, Dave Lankton treasurer, Ellen Witty secretary and Lois Maxim so cial chairman When we were sophomores, we had another skating party In our junior year we really began to let the rest of the world know we were alive. We had Miss Parke and Mr. Tucker as our class advisors. Dot Schmidt was class president, John Zimmerman vice president, Gloria Thome secretary, Rich Stett ner treasurer and Shirley Williamson social chairman. To start the year off right, we had a bowling party. Then in February we put on our prize winning assembly. The theme of this was the Stage Door Canteen. The social highlight of the vear was the Junior Senior dance with the crvstal ball as the central theme. The last vear' The year when we enjoyed all those 'priv1leges' so synonymous with the name seniors. Our class advisors were Mr. Tucker and Miss Hoefler. Don Avery was class president, Ellen Witty vice president, Rich Stettner treasurer, Stewev Metcalf secretary and Dot Schmidt and Ronnie Smith co social chairmen. In March we put on our Senior assembly with the theme centered around a hay field. In May came the Junior Senior Ball. With June comes graduation.
