FOREWORD Between the covers of this book are encompassed all the pictures and in formation pertinent to the activities and members of Spencerport High School lt is the aim of this publication to provide a lifelong remembrance to each student of the happy years he spent here This is the fourth consecutive publication that has been edited in the last twenty years It is hoped that this publication will measure up to the high standards set by previous issues The Panorama is humbly dedicated to the boys who are now serving in the armed forces, especially to those who have been killed or are missing in action We have taken this small measure to show our appreciation to them for all they have done for us 2

BO RD OF EDUCATION ss Hart, Mr Hawkins, Mr Schaffer, Mr Flagg, Mr Kincaid, M Woo The efforts expended by the School Board of Education are often received without full appreciation Their duties are innumerable and include to es tablish rules and regulations concerning the order and discipline of the schoo to prescribe the course of study by which the pupils of the school shall b graded and classified, to prescribe the textbook to be used in the school, purchase sites for recreation grounds and for agricultural sites, to purchase all equlpment necessary to the proper operation of the school, to handle all school insurance, to hire teachers, to handle all bequests or gifts to the sch to borrow money in anticipation of taxes uncollected, to raise by tax upon the property of the district any money required to pay the salary of teachers em ploved, to provide medical inspection of all school children The above list of duties will give you an idea of the work required f each member of the board The advantages offered by Spencerport High School are due, in great part, to the efforts expended by the Board with Ravmond Flagg as President We stu dents of Spencerport High School wish to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation of their work in our behalf. 4 l ool, 5, K an V ' : fs e 1- ff' ' ff 1 .
