Images of - Scrambled'Dogs, Sandwiches, Hamburgers, ANNUAL STAFF A FINAL IMAGE - deadlines, the staffs jesting, Vernais ring - . All part of the most memorable and rewarding experiencs of our lives. What makes a staff member often forfeit television and work hours after school and on weekends for a yearbook? Days after the beginning of the 1969 Spencerian, it seemed strangely unreal that all ucopya' is fitted and all pictures are ucroppedv. Surprisingly, these days have seemed shorter to staffers than to many of their friends. Heralding Spencerians as latent martyrs, on-lookers wondered what mystical spell made staffers Hsacrifice body and soul for the Spencerian. Frequently hearing HI can't - I have to work on the yearbookn, friends found it difficult to understand the do-or-die spiritv. Maybe it stemmed from the many jokes that broke the monotony of the ulayoutsi' and Ncopiesv, yet staff morale made the work hours pass quickly. Most significant were the staffers themselves, always ready to share a joke and put their heads together to solve a layout problem. Whatever the exact reason for the Spencerian's devotion, the 1969 Spencerian is hardly a sacrifice of its staffers, but rather an image - a part of them. Not forgetting the smashing crisis that brought staffers to grips with their responsibilities, the editor extends sincere thanks to Mr. Raymond Crowell, of Ritz Studio and Mr. D. L. Williamson of Logan's Studio for their excellent photo- graphy and invaluable advice. A special thank youu is owed to Mr. Louis Kunze, Ir., of the Columbus Office Supply Company, for his genuine concern and never ending patience. Most important, untold credit is due to our sponsors, Mrs. Effie ,Io Reid and Mr. Eddie Hollingsworth for their countless hours of guidance and friendship. Larry Greene Editor-in-Chief ..
