He received an A.B. from Indiana State Teachers College, and a M.S. from Indiana University. He is sponsor of the Senior Class. sl I N' S john E. Appleby received an A.B. degree from De Pauw University and also attended Central Normal College and Indiana State Teachers College. He teaches mathematics. He was born in Jennings County. He is married and has two children. His hobby is woodworking. He has taught at Spencer for 19 years and in Owen County for five years.

FINE ARTS ...M ig, . Mrs. Foster Dyar is the vocal music teacher both for the grades and high school. She holds a B.S. Degree, and has attend Franklin College, Indiana University, and Indiana State Teachers' College. Besides her hobby of reading, she sponsors the Sforzanda Music Club and many vocal ensembles. Mrs. john Hight is the head of the art department and also teaches junior High Home Economics. She was born in Easton, Indiana. She has two daughters. She attended Ball State Teachers College and re- ceived a B.S. degree. Mrs. Hight has traveled extensively throughout the United States.
