Old landmarks, typical of the era they graced - new progress in in- dustry, religious endeavor, and a whole bright new future for the current generation as they start their school days in the new Ele- mentary building. ki Lghmcefl ammzmfiy . The new Methodist parsonage was complet- ed in April, 1953, andthe annex directly behind the parsonage was completed May l, l955. The annex consists of ten rooms and Fellowship Hall. The cost ot both was 565,000 Above: Located near the iunction of State Roads 46 and 67 is the new Farm Bureau Co-op Store, which was completed in May, 1956, and is the most modern farm supply store in the area. On a hill overlooking town stands one ot the oldest of the town's dwellings, the Hyden House. Built in l875, complete with carriage house , its huge rooms cover four stories, capped by a railed tower laokout . On October 5, l895, the contract was sign- ed to erect the present Christian Church at 'a cost of 56250. Page 2
