Many humorous situations gave the cast an opportunity to display their dramatic ability. This play was directed by Miss Galimore. The cast included: Stanley Harris, David Esakson, Pat Spencer, Mary Ruth Hutcheson, Eleanor Brown, Connie Christie, Sheila McCann, Connie Servies, Martha Poff, judy Livingston, Barbara Thomas, joan Brinson, Donald Dayhuff, joe job, Bob White, Byron Buker and Neil Thompson. 21 la mf ss The scene opens and we find Judy Livingston in a crude hospital in Africa where she is doctor- ing the pygmies. fHer real destination was Aus- tralia but the ship was blown off course by severe winds. They were fortunate to make the coast of Tanganyikaj A messenger comes wildly dashing into the hospital with a letter. Uudy has not received communications, from the outside world, in all the years she has been isolated there.j She opens the letter and excitedly reads: We, the Senior Class of 1956, being of sound mind and body do hereby bequeath our last will and testament: To the jolly juniors, we leave our supply of chewing gum and our well-kept lockers. To the Sophomores, we leave our ability to make the highest grades possible and to get along with our beloved UD teachers. Our extreme dignity, provided they are de- serving of it, we will to the Freshmen. To Mr. Sharp, we bequeath the memory of the most intelligent class that has ever entered and left good old S. H. S. The band also played for all the home basket- ball games. On several occasions, the band marched on the floor of the gymnasium for basketball games. The band looked very fine in their new band uniforms which they obtained last year. The Spencer High School Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Donita Lyon, attended the District Choral Festival at Hope on March 23. Several of the members attended the All-State Choral Festival at Indianapolis in the fall of 1955. The chorus was somewhat smaller this year due to the fact that the band and chorus met on the same days. However, the chorus sounded quite professional. The Cops have a young team and lose only four members of the squad. On the team were four seniors, two juniors, and four sophomores.
