It took charge of the staging of the senior play, t'The Laughing Guest, very efficiently caring for costuming, make-up, advertising, and stage managing. This included also a study of the selection of a play, of a cast, and of directing. The second semester was spent in a study of Shakespeare's humorous scenes and characters and some original work in play writing and pro- ducing. -++-z-if-u-4+ Stage Iuh The following officers were elected soon after organization: President ...,c ,,,c, c ,, ,c,.......c.,, i Gladys Stalnaker Vice President ,ccc c ,,..c, Hazeldean Gordon Secretary c, ..,.c.ccc Erma Anderson Treasurer c c c.cc, ,......lccc . . Eloise Lawrentz The club is still in its infancy, being organized at the beginning of the '30 school term. There is much budding talent in the club, some of which has been played to the best advantage. The rest will have a chance, because there are coming activities in which the others may take part. The object of the club is to bring forth talent and to better dramatics. By the help of the sponsor, Miss Dorothy Davis, the object will be reached. Page ninety three

Frances Marian Robey oiganized at the beginning of school. This is known as the Spencer Players. This club is already at work to bring praise to the Old School. The club is directed by the very capable sponsor, Miss Julia F. Plumer, and consists of a membership of twenty-five girls. That it is composed entirely of girls may seem unfortunate to some, but we consider it just the opposite as it will give us the opportunity to play male roles and thus bring out our talent for acting. We planned to give a three act play, entitled Three Pegs, at the beginning of the new year, but, due to the illness of a member of the cast, the play had to be postponed until a later date. However, we presented our play in the latter part of February and the proceeds were given to the high school fund. Faye nmety-four
