The club is composed of members from all classes in high school. However, each and every member has shown an interest and appreciation in music. The club certainly has a wonderful talent for music, and has all the prospects of developing great musicians. The club has brought much fame to Spencer High School through its wonderful programs. The club meets on every Monday and Thursday, with a large attend- ance at each meeting. We are quite sure that the club will achieve the greatest success, and we hope that the club will continue to grow higher and higher every year. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Brown as instructor. Mr. Brown has shown great interest in the development of the club and each member appreciates his interest and aid. PP Gwendolyn Hardman The purpose of the Glee Club is to create a taste for better musicg to stimulate interest in music, to broaden the minds of students in the music world. The club is composed of 95 members from all classes in high school but the Freshmen seem to have the majority. About three-fourths of the club are new members since many of the old members were graduated last year, leaving the club in the hands of the lower classmen. Several of our members attended the State Convention at Charleston and we know that Spencer High School was well represented by those who attended. We are planning to present an Operetta, The Fire Prince, sometime in the near future. Page eighty-eight
