Foster Hedges, a retired lawyer of renown, out for his daily walk, accompanied by his red-haired twin daughters. He still has the springy step and erect carriage of his youth. Miss Pauline Moore, A. C. A., A. B. C., X. Y. Z., as the first woman President of Bowling Green, and using text-books, written especially for Bowling Green, she being the author. Mrs. Gwendolyn Hardman Lamp, prominent in Baltimore society circles, planning the debut of her eldest daughter, which has caused much comment due to Mrs. Lamp's recent widowhood. James Board, still an eligible bachelor, traveling with Billy Sunday, Junior, as the greatest evangelistic singer in America. Helen Burdette as a director of a class in gym for ladies between the ages of fifty and sixty, which course includes tap dancing. The following seniors of '31 are availing themselves of this opportunity: Misses Ruby Walker, Alta Stahlman, Margaret Jane Rhodes, Stacel Young, Beulah Smith and Mary Frances Ryan. Dr. Paul Hall, famous for his discoveries in the world of medicine, one in particular, his Sur-Cur for asthma. Mrs. Glenna Nellis Rhodes, President of the W. C. T. U., and who after one more year of active service will be retired on a pension. Mrs. Lucille Carpenter Davis, who has accepted the position of chaper- one on the Reedy Bus for the benefit of humanity. Grandpa Bill Bartlett, with a grandson on each knee, and telling them of his days in S. H. S., and especially those spent in Public Speaking Class. Mrs. Martha Hardman Chapman attending the Commencement exer- cises at Staunton Military Academy, where her son is being graduated. John Hersman in Phoenix, Arizona, on account of ill hea.lth due to over-study. Don Smith pushing a perambulator, perambulating Don Junior. Lester Cottrell wearing a new blue necktie and still calling on Mary Ellen Crislip. Juanita Shears traveling with Barnum and Bailey as the fat lady. The United States without the Eighteenth Amendment and Bar Tough Smith as chief bouncer in a large speakeasy. And also imagine, in 1960, the two pessimistic composers of this document, in their graves, with plain, unattractive markers, bearing the single inscription, Bored to Death. Page forty tho ee
