As all things have a humble beginning, so this class entered upon the Freshman road. But this class, made up of 127 freshmen, found the way rocky and hilly. A meeting was held at which James Board was chosen to lead them. We soon passed over one great bridge, First Semester Examinations, and at the end of the road was a bridge of finals, over which we safely passed to Sophomore Land. LATER CHILDHOOD-Vol. II As a Sophomore class, we spent our later childhood in gay Sophomore Land. To direct us in our work and play along the strange road, we chose Jean E. Miller to lead us past deeper knowledge wells, brighter lower- classmen valleys, and over two more great bridges. ADOLESCENCE-Vol. III It was in Jolly Junior Land that our class spent its adolescence, filled with youthful activities and pleasures. James Board was chosen the guide through this beautiful country, and we raced over new found hills of upper-classdom. To celebrate the crossing of the big bridge into the Senior Land, a banquet in gay orchid and yellow was given by us to the Senior Class. ADULT-HOOD-Vol. IV At last we have grown up and have reached the bright plains of Senior Land. Foster Hedges was chosen the guide of the sixty-five seniors. As a permanent reminder of our past life, we chose a Senior ring. And, finally, we came to the great Arch of Commencement, under which we passed to the years of the future. Page foo ty-two
