J i r.::f::f.w+ 1 Cdlalenhar '30 : '31 Feb. 18- Scotch Tramps gave the Chapel program today. Scotland must be a land of musical people from the songs we heard. Feb. 19-Our Band and Orchestra demonstrated their ability tonight and we were very proud of them. The Juniors also gave a play entitled the Trysting Place, coached by Miss Morgan. Oh! where can I find a place like that? Feb. 21-Girls played Huntington and almost won. We did win if sports- manship and clean playing have anything to do with it. Feb. 26-We met the Three Pegs tonight and found them a delightful group. March 2-Seniors sponsored another movie today. Abraham Lincoln. March 5-Sophomore play was given at Robey Theatre. Congratulations, Sophomores! It was so good we didn't know which to choose, Man or Mouse. March 11-The Girl Leaders Club gave a delightful program in the form of The Husband Hunters. March 20-Rupicola went to press today. It won't be long now! April 20-Rupicola distributed. April 23-Seniors gave their last play at Robey Theatre. May 4-Band went to Winchester, Virginia, for the Apple Blossom Festival . May 8-The Glee Clubs gave their operetta, entitled The Fire Prince, at the Robey Theatre. It showed good training and plenty of hard work. May 15-The Junior-Senior Banquet was given at the M. E. Church. It was carried out in sailor fashion and it certainly was ship-shape. Ahoy! Ahoy! May 17-The Commencement Sermon was given at the Robey Theatre by Rev. Kelvin McCray of the Protestant Church. May 18-Exercises for Class of 1931 were held in the High School audi- torium. The class gave a very clever program and everyone had a heap o' fun. May 20-The Junior Class gave a three-act play at the Robey Theatre. The play was coached by Miss Virginia Morgan and displayed well the talent of the Junior Class. May 21-The Eighth Grade Graduation was held at the Robey Theatre. A large number received diplomas and all are looking forward to be- coming Freshies. May 22-Annual Graduation Address was given at the Robey Theatre by Howard B. Lee. May 23-The Senior Class of '31 has passed out never to return again in the same form. Page one hundred eighteen
