FFA Breaks Membership Record One of the primary objectives of the Spencer FFA Chapter officers for this year was to increase membership and member participation. This goal was achieved with the awarding of the Sectional Membership Award for the largest increase in membership at the State FFA Convention. The FFA continued to co-sponsor Project Merry Christmas serving over 160 families with the help of the National Honor Society. Contest teams were active in Fox Valley, UW-RiverFalls and the State Contests in Madison. Spencer Partici- pants ranked in the top 25% of the schools participating in the Ag Technology Contests at UW-River Falls. Spencer FFA hosted the Central Wisconsin Pork Producers Pork Fair for the first year. Twenty-seven area FFA Chapters were invited to compete. The Chapter finished the year ranking bronze in the Building Our American Communities Competition, silver in Chapter Safety, and National Chapter and Food for America. All Chapter award programs were based upon the work and achievements of the chapter throughout the year. Individual members also received recognition for their achievements in Proficiency Awards and State Farmer Degrees, as well as competition on the local level.

FHA Organizes New Project This year FHA's main project was to organize SADD, Students Against Driving Drunk. The chapter worked along with Mr. Fait's Drivers Ed classes both semesters. The classes were shown a movie about how SADD first came about. Contracts For Life between parents and teenagers were taken home and signed. The over all response was good. 18
