The varsity volleyball team ended their season with a confer- ence record of three wins—six losses and a 4-10 overall record. The JV team, on the other hand, chalked up a 8-2 overall record giving them their best record ever. Sarah Graves led all scoring and setting, which landed her a spot on the Marawood Conference second team. The determination and drive were there, but the Rockets couldn't seem to get it all together. They started out the season with a bang, which gradually died down; although, they gave many teams a run for fheir money. The highlight of the season was almost beating the conference and state champs—Abby. In the first match of Regionals, the Rockets were defeated by Auburndale and ended the '81 season. 1.
