The Class of 70 held their Senior Banquet at the Knight Inn on the evening of May 20. After members of the class bountifully served themselves from the smorgasbord dinner, the awards were presented. The awards went for such outstanding abilities as driving excellence, most likely to succeed, the biggest soak. Entertainment for the evening was provided by David Yonker. Over an hour of folk music and ballads was performed by Dave, which seemed to please the entire class. How to enjoy a banquet in three easy lessons. Dave gave it feeling. Senior Banquet— The Last Laugh Pete presents Rich with a white sock-a must for the best dressed boy. Rich Hoops extends his plate for the courses of the turkey smorgasbord. 25

 ABOVE: Mr. Krueger awards the Salutatorian award to Peter Hagen. LEFT: The last walk for the final reward of high school. Class of 70— RIGHT: Mr. DiUlio congratulates Gwen Klein on receiving her diploma. BELOW: Valedictorian-Ken Hutch- inson. The Class of 70 held its commencement exercises in the R. J. Tack Auditori- um on the evening of May 22. Fifty-one seniors marched into the traditional strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” played by the band. Three student speak- ers talked about both the past and the future. Margaret Worchel in “Welcome” spoke of the advantages of a small school. Joan Forst, in her speech, “Ours is Tomorrow”, elaborated on the class motto, and Rick Neuenfeldt, with “Belief in Man”, expressed hope for the future. Mr. Henry Kober directed the class song, “Age of Aquarius.” To add length and variety to the program, selections by the madrigal and French Horn trio 26
