Further, in dedication, we present this yearbook as a trubute to 'r. E. W. Yerten a leader in this community and a longtime member of the local school board, who died suddenly on Yoverber 7, 1952. We, the Senior Class of 1953 will our inability to comprehend Mr. Ristau's jokes to all with a sense of humor superior to ours. icfCO 0 0 CACAV0K4 Ed Chlzek and Nancy Weister were king and queen of the 1952 Homecoming, ' embers of the queen’s court were Joan Helsten, Carol Kolling, Helen Karau, and Varilyn Boock. Crown bearers were Sandra Sook and Jimmy Larson. The Customary pep rally and bonfire were held on Friday evening. Saturday afternoon was parade time with school and community organizations participat- ing. The game Saturday nite was won by the Rockets over the Withee Bluejays, 15-0. The annual dance was very well attended by more than ISO alumni and students who enjoyed dancing to Vic’s Little 3and. Queen Carol Kolling and King Bill Schwantes reigned over the 1952 JUNIOR PRCM The croons were carried by Vary Kobs and Bobby Neuenfeldt. o Oil a. f ‘Jill ft Car Ba QerVt . Three shades of blue streamers draped out from a square frame of lattice work to all four corners of the gym. It's the Truitt jinx, worried Maggie; and romance Just didn't seem to have a chance in this household----that is, until the younger generation of the Truitts got going. Elmer Truitt's op- portunity for a Jet ride zooming thru the heavens faster than the speed of sound didn't exactly appeal to him at all. But Gramps, and his never-ending search for those blasted teeth, came through with a rescue and all ended in a happy note. Love Is In The Air was a most delight- ful and entertaining experience for all.
