Another tradition that has improved during the Edu 03 11 OH transition 1's the education that is offered at Spelman. Our foreststers were Involved in more practical lessons such as home economics. millinery, music, and industrial arts, along with the traditionat' mathematics, English and geography courses that were offered. Currently, within the watts of Gites. Rockefeller, Taptey. and other conference rooms around the campus, Spetman offers the best quality of a h'berat' arts education to keep the purpose of our founders alive - to give btack women a weH-rouno'ed education. Included in the eurricutum are classes from Engh'sh, economics. math, computer science, biology. chemistry. physics, pre- med. business, psychoiogy, sociology, philosophy, foreign languages, music, drama, art, and other science and sociat science fields. Atong with the above divisions Spelman also offers the Women's Center for the additionat assistance in writing and research. and student exchange programs with other colleges in the United States and fnternatfonat'ty, to name a few.
