INTRODUCTION Spelman College is a place for discovery, learning and growth. It is one of the places where young women can come to prepare thcmt selves for full adulthood. The process of growth is often slow, often painful. Yet few ever Cluesw tions the fact that this same proc- ess is meaningful. This year, the REFLECTIONS staff has tried to capture some of the moments of growth. Years from now, we who are students will look back and smile nostal- gically at ourselvcs, at our youth and at our experiences at Spel- man. What wr- have tried to do is capture oursclveswto bring back memories of things perhaps not clear now, which will be clearer to us later; to preserve cherished moments with teachers and friends, for we know not where lifeis road will lead us once we are gone from here. Thus, this yearbook must bC considered the freezing of moments- precious moments, valuable moments in our lives, in our growth.
