The members of Booster Club certainly did a wonderful job, backing the team on to victory at the games this year. Clad in their new brown and gold capes they cheered the team with yells to the current hit tunes. The club, sponsored by Miss Rust, sold derbies for the sectionals as their main money-making project. They also provided the trophy for the best decorated car in the car caravan to the sectionals at Butler. When the basketball urge was in the air, When the games started were you there? Were you cheering loud and clear, Letting the team know you were there? Cheering them on with a Go, Team, Go. Wishing they'd win and letting them know? When the team made a basket, did you yell real loud, Letting them know that you were proud?

ATIO AL HO OR OCIETY Receiving their charter in 1948, Speec way's National Honor Society has been spor sored from the first by Mrs. Welborn. A though the main qualification for membei ship is that each student must have an avei age of eleven honor points per semester, the must also be passed by the faculty on th qualities of leadership, character, and service Therefore all students who have an averag of eleven honor points are not members. Sinc this is an honorary organization there are n regular meetings held. Composed of boys from the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior class, Hi-Y sponsored the clothe-a-child drive at Christmas time. As their main project again this year they presented their annual Good Friday religious program to give students opportunity to worship to- gether.
