Under the Direction of . R. C. Jordan, Superintendent of Speedway Schools, is the chief administrator of the high school and the three grade schools, which are the Fisher, Allison, and Newby schools, in Speedway. Lawrence E. Thompson, is serving the school as principal for his tenth year. He was previously the head of the Business Education Depart- ment. S. Robert McMahon, the President of the School Board in Speedway, has been a board member since Jan- uary l, 1953. He has also served as secretary and treasurer of the board. -I1-

Mrs. Pollard, who is Coach Pollard's wife, keeps the school accounts balanced. Mrs. Mus- grave, who is a graduate of SHS, serves as Mr. Jordan's secretary and clerk for the School Board. Payroll for Speedway's employees is a big task tor her. Mrs. Hootman reminds Mr. Thompson of all the little things principals might forget. She also keeps each student's records up-to-date. Our nurse, Mrs. Beck, is always available to help those in distress, dressing cuts and wounds, putting dislocated bones in place, and cheering up each student who is ill, -1Q.
