The whole family offers Mama, Mary Jean Seeley, consolation, as she hears that her son, Cecil, has run away from home. The play had a happy ending, however, as Mama and Papa, Richard Sprecher, finally are able to celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary with all members of the family present.

Catherine and Peter Marshall por- trayed by LaVon Cundy and Wesley Orr, come to a quiet understanding , as the turn of affairs led to a conflict between Allen Talbot and his aunts, the Bickle sisters. Gay McVey and Judy Peterson were cast in the roles of the spinsterish aunts, and Morris Mikkelsen played Allen.
