William Shakespeare ' s Merchant of Venice was chosen as the Senior class play for 1957. Leading parts were Mary DeHaai and Karen Crowner, double-cast as Portia; Shylock, Bill McGuigan; Bassanio, Larry Nelson; Antonio, Tom Campbell. Other cast members were Gary Miller, Jim McCleave, John Kinyon, Mike Butterfield, Bill Brown, LeRoy Draine, Dick White, Jerry Trier, Bee Mitchell, Phil Wyne, Marjorie Bumham, Sharon Buttemeier, Roger Dingeman and Bonita Kelley. Meet Corliss Archer , the junior class play, was a comedy of youth based on the radio serial built around the activities of Corliss Archer. Gay McVey played the title role; Wesley Orr and Sharon Winter were cast as Mr. and Mrs. Archer. Morris Mikkelsen was Dexter Franklin, Corliss ' boy friend, and Mary Craig depicted Cousin Agnes, a troubl making spinster. Other members of the cast were Connie Knutson, Barbara Soliday, Steve Jones, Steve Polley, Carlo Curnow, Karen Collins, and Phyllis Gibson. Lewis Moll directed the play. Juniors Present Light Comedy
