Foreword Recorded in this the 1951 Spartan, in words and pictures, is a whole year of activities: social, athletic, and everyday events which you, as a stu- dent of SHS, have participated in. This yearbook is a record of a year of fun, friendship, and learning. It shows you participating in various activities, clubs and music groups. We of the Spartan Staff hope that you will enjoy your 1951 Spartan. The Spartan Staff Dedication xii it Our high school memories will in- clude not only those of classmates but also of faculty members. Among those will certainly be Don Allan, whose happy-go-lucky attitude is something we always will remember. Big Don led us down Indian streams and pioneer trails, helping to make American History real and exciting to us. We always watched for Coach to enter the basket- ball court or football field with the boys before each game: knowing that he would do his best to pull us through to victory. So, with deep respect, we dedicate our l95l Spartan to you, Coach Don Allan. The Spartan Staff al5,.f ..' Lx Xu , fv 1 -- -1 if tl Doris, Don, and Peggy Supervisory Staff E. C.
