Do you remember that first day of kindergarten? We probably wore our best clothes thinking we were pretty hot stuff. What about playing house, finger painting, and, of course, playing with the blocks ? Then, 0 7, 70 w atoc ? older we felt when we carried our first big black pencil home from first grade! And how could we forget that box of crayons. We entered second grade, and started having our first quizzes. So that's where they started all that nonsense! Third grade, and most of us were still hanging in there, just barely but we were there. Isn't that when we got the brainy idea about getting friendly with the smart students that sat next to us?! Quizzes always seemed a little easier if we did. Dick and Jane up in a tree, K-l-S-S - -A -G . Sound familiar? That started about fourth grade, didn't it? Then we were big fifth graders, and then on to graded school! There was the first school dance, boys started looking at girls and the eyes looked the other way also. We had our first basketball teams, and thought we had all kinds of opportunities! At last it was time for eighth grade graduation. The guys reluctantly took off their jeans, and the girls even put on dresses! Wow! Look how far we'd come! High school days began. Weren't you nervous?! Being itty bitty freshmen wasn't glorious, but we stuck it through and now we're the mighty mighty seniors. Hip! Hip! Hooray! How can we list all the joys and disappointments that have filled our last four years? Sitting on the radiators, skipping classes, that was fun, but... Let's just look for a minute at some other activities. Remember freshman orientation, slave day, 50's day, our junior prom, senior class play, and our senior formal? Then there were sport, drama, and music activities. Donkey basketball, fun night... It has all been gresa all been great, and know none of us would have missed it for the world. Now we're entering into a whole new realm of opportunities all the more ready to meet the challenge they bring because of our last four years. The class of 1977 of Spaulding High School will live on in our memories forever.
