y The Latin Club of Spaulding High School, the Junior Classical League, meets monthly with its ad- visor, Miss Austin. This year's of- ficers are Consul, Judy Mercier, and Scriba, Irene Aja. Programs and ceremonies included the Roman Banquet, and the singing of carols in Latin at Christmas-time. Senior members of J.C.L. N. Hanson, S. Sibley, I. Aja, Scriba K. Lindey, J. Mercier, Consul; B. Drake, L. Gould; Miss Austin, Advisor Senior members of the Spanish Club and officers. D. Lavin, M. E. Fontana, L. Lavin, Sec.; P. Rugo, Pres.; S. Lamson, Sec.; I. Aja, Treas.; D. Irish, C. Usle. The primary project of the Spanish Club is the maintenance of a scholarship fund to aid students who are planning to continue the study of Spanish in college. The Rifle Club was organized by Mr. Norris. He is assisted by Mr. Walker. Both boys and girls partici- pate in this growing sport and enjoy meets with other schools. Officers of the Rifle Club: Left to Right: Martha Robinson, Sec.; James Black, Pres.; Janet West, Treas. Officers of the Tech Club: Left to Right: Van Davidson, Sec.; Douglas Wright, Treas.; Ellis Morin, Pres.; Narcis Gosselin. Junior and senior students of the Vocational School comprise the Tech Club. This club sponsors dances to raise money for the annual ban- quet. For the first time they present- ed an assembly program. 30
