The social studies department includes civics, modern history, United States history, and American problems. These give us a glimpse of the past as patterns for the future. MIS JEAN WATSON English III We never walked alone during our high school years. Our instructors guided us through the curricula of our choice, whether it was college preparatory, academic, com- mercial, or trade and industrial. English is one of the most important departments. It paved the way to make it possible for us to better express ourselves in our writing, in our speech, and in our dealings with other people.
