MIS JEAN WATSON English III We never walked alone during our high school years. Our instructors guided us through the curricula of our choice, whether it was college preparatory, academic, com- mercial, or trade and industrial. English is one of the most important departments. It paved the way to make it possible for us to better express ourselves in our writing, in our speech, and in our dealings with other people. Creative writing is Spaulding's students only elective in English. Senior stu- dents learn to express themselves more fluently. MISS VIRGINIA BROWN MR. MAX JENNESS MRS. LOIS RENFREW English II, IV. Seniors—in choosing your theme You'll Never Walk Alone you have indeed chosen a truism. Since the incubation days of your education period some twelve years ago, you have never been alone. There has always been someone watching over you, someone guiding you, someone hoping and praying for your success. Now, as you are about to go out into this big, wide world to make a place for yourself, these same parents, teachers, friends, and your God, will still be watching, hoping, and praying that you'll make this world a better place to live in. No, definitely no, You'll Never walk Alone. A. G. Pendo, Principal Mr. Pendo, our principal, graduated in 1931 from Norwich with a B.S. degree. At Bates he received his M.Ed. Before coming to Spaulding Mr. Pendo studied at U.N.H., Trenton State Teachers' College, and Plymouth Teacher's College. Path of Learning MR. FRANK S. DEVINE Assistant Principal Director of Guidance Mrs. Pelkey is bookkeeper of Associated School Funds and secretary to Mr. Devine; Mrs. Thow is secretary to Mr. Pendo.
