The ring we now wear proudly We started our second year at Spaulding on September 5, 1953, expecting to enioy our sophomore year as much as we enioyed our first, On September 28 we chose our class officers. Douglas Ordway was chosen president, Ronnie Williamson, vice-presidentg Donna McLeod, sec- retary, and Melvyn Lawson, treasurer. We held our Sophomore Hop October lo with the auditorium gaily decorated in a har- vest theme. The auditorium stage was decorated with a moon shining above a wooden fence. February 5 we elected our class ofhcers who were Charles Pelle- grini, president, Robert McAllister, vice-president, Lorraine Laferriere, secretary and Norma Palmer, treas- urer. Sylvia Cozzi and Deanna Hart were announced to be first and second prize winners, respectively, in the apron-making contest. This event was sponsored by the Singer Sewing Machine Company Febru- ary 20.
