The aim is to help the pupils to work out their own . ideas especially in the crafts, and to give careful supervision to those special- 1 .izing in drawing and painting. Mechanical Drawing is taught in special afternoon classes and at the 'evening drawing school, where attention is given to the needs of this com- in munity, especially the granite industry. To fit the needs of the community, a practice set known as The Mayfair Granite Company is also used. 1 Ancient, Modern, and American history are offered with the view of 'gf impressing' the student with the importance of the past in making possible the civilization of the present.
