VVHARTON .. jf Dear Craduates: The chief regret that I have over these two years of your stay with us is the fact that I have not been privi- leged to teach you. For that reason I have not come to know all of you quite as personally and intimately as I would liked to have done. Every class which ever went out from any institution in any age faced a world full of problems and crises. Some more so than others. The point I am making, how- ever, is that the world has existed in a state of perpetual crises. Now you expect me to say, You are Facing the most critical world that any class ever faceclf' Perhaps you are, and perhaps you are not. But I say unto you that you need have no fears for 1955. I send you forth with the courage and the optimism born of your youth and nur- tured in a Christian faith.
