The Spartanburg Basketball squad is composed of a well-balanced attack with seven men leading the team to a fourteen game winning streak including the Randolph County Championship. The Tomcats defeated Lynn for the third time this year in the second game ofbthe tourney and went on to defeat Parker 48-42 in the final game. The Tomcat's schedule is not completed, but the cats are looking forward to the sectional and also to winning the remainder of the scheduled games. High School Cheerleaders LEFT TO RIGHT: Mary Jane Peach, Rosamond Holland, Jean Macy, and Sharon J ennings. We have had a very active group of cheerleaders this season. They have cheered our team qn to many victories. The Tomcat in the center of the page is our mascot. 24 Pep Club The pep club consists of several members including grades seven through twelve. Rules have been made and we are trying to make our cheering block one of which to be proud. The students who were members last year have purple and gold sweaters which may be worn with either the gold or purple in front. The new members wear white blouses. Each class chose a representative for a cheering block board, which decides matters of importance about the pep club. A secretary was also chosen to take attendance at the games.
