Department of Manual Training I HE rlepartment is fast becoming one of the most popular tlepartments of the school. XX'hen our new builrling was built in 1908. a room was set apart tor this work. The best material available was pro- Curetl. consisting of twelve motlern work benches twelve complete outlits of tools, a ii wheel, a tlrill. ansl iiter saw, an emery iuany other practical tools. The store-room is well stocker! with well selected lumber' such as white pine. ash, oak. walnut. antl mahogany. The purpose of this tlepartment is to give the boy a knowledge of the tools antl tu teach him to meet the every-tlay problems of after lit -.
