This is the goal that we, the members of the Delta staff have strived for. It has not been a simple task because a year at the Spartanburg Day School is full of action. The past year has brought about many changes, including another addition to the school campus. Not only has the school it- self grown, but the school family and faculty staff have also increased this past year. As the school grows, the HDelta's'7 tasks grow, also. Nevertheless the members of the staff feel that we have met this challenge, and hope that you will be as pleased with the 1969 '4Delta as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you. These qualities include strength, skill of mastering the wrestling holds, and determination to keep moving even when the odds become seeming- ly impossible. Even though the size and experience of the opponents' teams kept the Griffin wins to a minimum, the Team's season may be considered highly successful from the viewpoint that the many new members who joined the squad quickly gained these qualifications. Team captain begins determined drive. The season's record for the girls is hardly indica- tive of their playing ability. They have attained the qualities that make a good team: desire to win, team loyalty and an overwhelming effort which they have displayed in each game. Our record stands at the present five wins and eight losses. We lost only by one point to Saluda and to SC. School for the Deaf.
