SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Our FRESHMAN year came in 51 and 52, you should remember only a few came through well, Fair time came with all its mire, Protect Our Forests From Fire, was this years float theme. And in the judges' eye it created quite a gleam. Halloween bounced in with goblins and ghosts, with Leo Burlingame for a hayride host. Oh, yes, the brisk wind did blow, with little clouds of cold, cold snow. Christmas came with so much glee, as we all joined in trimming the tree. Now Miss Margaret Morris had the Christmas party, we opened our presents and all ate hearty. Mary Rasey a party did throw, that was for Valentine's Day you know? The girls did ask the boys to be, Oh won't you please marry me? Mary Webb called the girls galore, Eileen and Mary and many more, For a PJ. party with lots of gab, the girls next day . . GRAB . . The water was cold, but the girls didn't care, just as long as they escaped the boys' snare. This was at J ones' our class picnic we went, for now to tenth grade we were sent. Our SOPHOMORE year a stand we raised, the boys said our pies rated praise. The hayride chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Praetzel you know, a beautiful night and without any snow. Out to Webb's for some food and then for a ride, with kids in the wagon and hanging out the sides. When Christmas came this year, we went out to Putnam's you hear. We ate candy, played games and Mr. Praetzel our chaperone, we exchanged gifts and then headed home. Back to Jones' for our picnic this year, the boys in their cars drove in high gear. We waded and swung and played hide-and-go-seek--I wonder just how many did peek? With hair and clothes all tangled and damp, we ended tenth grade looking like a tramp. Our class rings we received this month of September. It will be a thought we'll long remember. We' re J UNIORS now, such old folk we, well its time for the fair so we all went to see, cause you see this year we were very lazy. Out to Oberts grove for a hayride we went, a beautiful night we were all sent. Hotdogs and pop and a ride in the swing, with all those boys your ears did ring. Our Christmas party was at Mary Rasey's this year, exchanging gifts amid laughs and games, everyone said, so that's who had my name! Our Junior Play, A Comin Around the Mountain, we put on in April and made so much money, we're still a-countin'. Our banquet we held in May that year, we had lots of food fcut up steerj. And then we were SENIORS at last, once and for all the die was cast. Hotdogs, hamburgers, coffee, and milk, our senior stand ran as smooth as silk. Our Senior play, Which Shall He Marry? starred most of the class, and ran very well as long as it last. With presents wrapped in red and green, we went to Praetze1's to cast our happy Christmassy beam. Our Christmas party there was great, but boy, oh, boy, it sure was latel On New Year's Eve we piled in cars and went to Erie by the light of the stars. We got home in die wee hours of morn and I'm afraid for some there was a storm. The prom we held in April this year, with everybody dressed up in their best gear. The banquet in May was really great, we had lots fun and stayed out late. Graduation day finally came, we handed in our cards-this is the end of the lane.
