A Halloween Hayride to Bailey's house Started as quite a lark, And ended with Mr. Puleo Singing in the dark. Setting the style for years to come, And leaving nothing to chance 5 We Juniors held a Sno-Ball, The Annual Christmas Dance. Speaking of dances, would you like to hear Of the Easter Dance we held that year? The music was grandg decorations were cute. No doubt about it, t'was really a beaut. 'Twas on the seventh of September, In the year of '49, That the Freshman class of '53 Began to toe the line. Then, was on of two class-meetings, fWhich were all we held that yearj The second one, 'bout the weinie-roast, Seemed more to us, I fear. lf- vf?:'7f'r f wgpmeli V x I W , V an 3 .cr 'N fgggt I 'V ' ,Lt I . if-IN' it 1 ' PM K.-i - 1 ,JP fp f ' f , ga, We had a hand in government In the spring of '5l. The school elected new delegates: Student Council was begun. October saw us yearbook-boundg On this we labored all year round. Putting it together is quite a featg Reserved for Juniors as a special treat. ff: X 5,,,...---I 15 hlston contmueo Our Junior Play was quite a success. No one could choose lines they liked the best. fBut what, for us, make it a honey Was the fact that we made lots of money., Gee! How we hated -Q To see that year close. But the Banquet and Prom Helped banish our woes. Next year, when the Fair came 'round, The Seniors pitched a tent to the ground. Dug in their feet, got a good grip, And made more money for the Washington trip. Then in the fall we decided to stage A roaring play that would be all the rage. So we studied our lines, and put up our curls, Then lo! and behold, Gone With the Girls . - ' ' ' Have we mentioned the Heart-Hop? No? Heaven forbid! Well, relax, everybody, Because we just did. 'N then, hooray! Came the day When the Seniors started selling magazines It made everybody else happy too. X H 'WWW' 2' The end drew nigh, and we all gave a sigh, For the things we were leaving behind. Baccalaureate, then a graduate, And we left to see what we could find.
