bn Junior and Senior Prom On May 21, 1948, a group composed of Iuniors and Seniors met in the basement of the Methodist church for a banquet given by the luniors for the Seniors, the theme being, The Gay Nineties. Samples of this thought were observed on the tables in spoon hold- ers, kerosene lamps for light, old family al- bums, and tintypes. The waiters and Wait- resses dressed to fit the era. After the program, they proceeded to the high school gym to dance in an old fash- ioned ball room. There were heavy appear- ing draperies covering imaginary Windows, settees, rocking chairs, tables, and other antiquated pieces of furniture around the outside of the floor. Old mirrors and portraits adorned the Walls. Refreshments were served from a corner bar. The floor show consisted of two timely readings by lean Ridgely and several selec- tions by a ubarbershop quartet.
