Hi-Points of 1960 got off to a good start this year even though we were hindered by a lack of funds due to the Steel Strike. Under the capable direction of advisor, Mr. Kosicki and Editor-in-Chief, Margaret Welsh, we rapidly progressed toward our final deadline. We had the usual problems of preceeding yearbook staffs. There were deadlines to meet, copy to write, pictures to take, and patrons and ads to sell. The assistant editors each carried out his individual responsi- bilities. Linda Rathke was Art Editor, Frances Hayes was Music Editor, Clyde Tressler and Margaret Leshko were Sports Editors, Connie Costenbader was Photography Editor, Margaret Welsh

Business Manager Barbara Karacoulakis' Business Advisor Mr. Everett The business administration of the Pointer was under the direction of advisor, Mr. Everett, and Business Manager, Barbara Karacoulakis. Their job though not so well known or so glamorous as that of the editorial staff, also contributed valuable experience and learning situations to the individuals involved. The staff also consisted of Carroll Kraemer, Mitchel Christian, Beverly Bradenbaugh, Larry Hart, Anne Menicon, Dean Henderson, Ann Thomas, and Hugh Henderson. Stephanie O'Hara and Mary Daybrowski were our Junior Assistants. The members of the business staff very efficiently carried out their duties under the direction of advisor, Mr. Ryder, and Business Manager, Helen Weber. Doris Turansky and Barbara Tippins were members of the staff. We on the yearbook staff hope that the student body will enioy the Hi-Points of 1960 as much as we enioyed working on it.
