Editorial Advisor Mr. Britvch Editor-in-Chief Frances Tomczewski Editorial Editor Virgina Howlett The slogan Of, By, and For the Students can best describe the purpose of our school newspaper, the Pointer. Under the leadership of Frances Tomciewski, and with the advice of sponsor, Mr. Britvch, the staff managed to pub- lish six issues this year. This was achieved in spite of financial difficulties due in part to a serious steel strike. The great cost of producing a publication of this sort is not readily known to most of the school population, but any serious thinking individual can easily see the advantages in the form of school spirit, valuable experience, and school pride to be gained by so worthwhile an endeavor. Frances' chief assistant this year was Virginia Howlett who gained much valuable experience in her position as editorial editor. This will en- able her to succeed Frances next year with some degree of confidence. Others assisting in this exacting work of publication were: Clara Eden- ton, Richard Moore, Carole Haag, Christine Cum- mins, and Cindy Godwin. l POINTER STAFF - STANDING, Left to Right: V. Howlett, C. Cummins, B. Karacoulakis, C. Haag, R. Moore. SEATED: C. Edenton, F. Tomczewski, C. Godwin.
