tht -Z ...1 The School Nurse MRS MILLER Mrs Doris Muller one of the buslest of our school personnel has charge of our health surte She cares for an average of twenty students dally for a great va ruety of anlments She also schedules and gives the Massachusetts Vlslon Screen Ing Test as well as a number of lectures on health to the Iunlor hugh and home econornlcs classes throughout the year Among her other duties are Included conferences wlth parents and students about the health problems of lndlvldual students Thrs year was marked by a flu ep: demic of unprecedented seventy ln the Durrng a two week perlod IH the fall an average of 25 students were sent home darly At one polnt 6110 students as well as many of the faculty were absent from school with flu llke symptoms The crlsrs added greatly to Mrs Mlllers responsr bllltxes and rn spate of the fact that her own children were strucken Mrs Maller remalned at her post Besrdes her dutles of carlng for the health of our student body Mrs Muller also sponsors the Fu ture Nurses Club 'NO rs Wff reco- To help young people adjust then selves to an adult world IS the obrect of our guldance counselors Mrs Kraft and Mr McGune They not only and the stu dents wlth problems whlch arlse durlng hugh school years, but they try to pre pare them for past school lufe by guldlng them rn their selection of colleges or vo cations The services whlch they render to the student body are umfneagurable 9 ,J Ill ia !
