- 1957 perseverence and devotion to duty of the responsible staff members concerned, lt was gratifying to know that all financial and business matters pertaining to the yearbook were being handled very well by the business staff, headed by Brenda Crowder and supervised by Mr. Hackman, Other members of the staff in- cluded Robert Viands, Rae Simp- son, Margaret Cook, Ronnie White, Carol Nizer, Barbara Grymes and understudies Elaine Hammond and Margaret Maguire. After much hard work we on the staff were able to relax a little when the HI-POINTS finally went to press in March. All that remain- ed to be done was to await its return and then distribute the copies of Volume VII to the anx- ious Pointers. Vile have profited by the works of our pre- decessors and have learned through our own experiences. The task of compiling the yearbook was in- deed not a small one. With the ex- ceedingly capable supervisory as- sistance and guidance of 'Mr. Kosicki, Mr. Swearingen, and edi- tors Clementine Boddiford and Cecelia Weiskopf, we sincerely be- lieve that we have produced a yearbook in the best tradition and high standards of Sparrows Point High School. During the production stage of HI-POINTS, many difficulties were encountered, i. e., the meeting of deadlines, writing of copy, plan- ning of pages, soliciting of ads. These, however, were anticipated and surmounted because of the MR. SWEARINGEN Editorial Advisor vi.. 4 ft The HI-POINTS Staff Our businessmen were as busy as beavers.
