A high school is people--teenagers and all. It's assemblies and classes and a rush in the hall. It's panic at report cards: it's red, white and black. It's thrills and excitement that can never coine back. Suspense fills the hallways, and rivalry's keen. All yearn for a scholarship; who will be Queen? A high school means projects and clubs with their fun, And everyone working till all tasks are done: Tense moments at ballgames--Will we win or not? That fighting spirit means more than we thought! For the second year in a row The Senators carried home the bacon. Everything goes to the winner and that was Sparkman. Sparkman took an early lead only to have it tied up on a de- flected pass. Sparkrhan. came back in the 2nd. half to score in the 3rd and 4th quarters to take a 21 to 7 lead that was never threatened. A touchdown in the 4th, was nullified but the Senators never faltered and held the lead. The Senators went into the game defending Champs and came out still Champs. The line, outweighed by about 40 lbs. per man, tore through the New Hope line opening large holes that gave our backs good running room. It was a team effort that really paid off, and made all the work worthwhile.
